Specialty Trade Contractors: First Economic Responders

Between October 2017 and October 2018, residential specialty trade contractors added 92,100 net new jobs, which translates into 4.7% job growth. In other words, the number of people working for specialty trade contractors expanded by nearly 5% in just one year, a testament to how strong construction markets remain despite rising mortgage rates and growing concerns regarding apartment market overbuilding in certain communities.
