While drafting my final message, I was inspired by Bob Moulder, an incredible pioneer of CFMA’s Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter. Many who know Bob have witnessed his chapter accomplishments and hard work firsthand. He’s done so much that an annual award was named after him, which is given to a member who has gone above and beyond and has dedicated a significant amount of time to the chapter. Bob presents this prestigious award each year.
At this year’s awards dinner, he told me that although he is retired, he still reads every issue of CFMA Building Profits. In his speech, he told the more than 100 attendees that they need to support the CCIFP program, as many before us have worked hard to establish CFMA and the ICCIFP and have helped these incredible organizations grow into what they are today. Bob, I hope you’re reading this and know that I appreciate your words of encouragement as you continue to provide leadership to our chapter. It is up to those going forward to carry this torch, honor the pioneers who came before us, and protect and improve these organizations.
Here are some key initiatives achieved this year under the direction of ICCIFP Executive Director Veronica Whitehead, the ICCIFP Officers, Trustees, and volunteers, as well as through the support from CFMA’s Executive Officers and HQ staff.
Strategic Planning
For the first time in many years, we held a collaborative strategic planning session. This team included ICCIFP Officers and Trustees, CFMA Executive Officers and HQ staff, and key contributing volunteers. The resulting strategic plan ensures that the ICCIFP has clear and measurable short- and long-term goals, with detailed business planning to begin soon.
Chapter Engagement Task Force
The Chapter Engagement Task Force was created to assist chapters in making CFMA members aware of CCIFP benefits and to promote chapter efforts to encourage members to seek the CCIFP credential. The ICCIFP and CFMA selected task force members based on their passion for certification and consistent leadership. We are very excited to see what they will achieve.
Thanks to All
I would like to thank Bob Biehl and the members of the Exam Development Committee for their countless hours of behind-the-scenes work and tireless efforts to update the exam, which is a monumental task.
Thank you to Gretchen Kelly, Lisa Autino, and the members of the Accreditation Committee for helping to renew our ANSI designation for the next five years. This renewal requires many hours of hard work, knowledge of ANSI, and an understanding of the many requirements.
To all of the other committee members and volunteers, thank you for your continued support and hard work as we would not succeed without your contributions.
In closing, I am honored to have served as the ICCIFP Chairman this past year. Thank you to all of the Officers, Trustees, committee members, CFMA Executive Officers, and HQ staff for your passion, dedication, and teamwork.
I look forward to continuing to strengthen the value of the CCIFP certification. I wish Incoming Chairman Gretchen Kelly the best of luck in the coming year, as I know she is going to hit it out of the park!
