CFMA recently had an opportunity to sit down with Yvette Aubin, CPA, CMA, CGMA, CCIFP who is the CFO of Ebsary Foundation Company in Miami, FL. Yvette is also one of CFMA’s 40 Under 40 Honorees.

A: This morning I woke up at 4:55 a.m.
 

Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was as a camp counselor.

A: I first became a CFMA member in 2009.
 

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: My favorite part of my job is problem-solving.

Q: Least favorite?
A: My least favorite part of my job is listening to others complain.
 

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I want to be remembered for being a nice, kind-hearted person.

A: My favorite app is Duo Lingo.
 

Q: What is something that you learned recently that impressed you or blew your mind?
A: Something that I recently learned that blew my mind is what an object needs to do to stay in orbit while in space.
 

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: The best piece of advice I ever received was that cooler heads prevail.
 

Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?
A: The one thing I can’t live without is exercise. It helps me reset, focus and keeps me grounded.
