Meet Joel Dziedzic, CCIFP

Joel Dziedzic, CCIFP is a partner of BKD, LLP out of Chicago, IL and he took time out of he day to sit down with CFMA and answer these ten questions. Check them out: 

Q: What’s your guilty pleasure?

A: My guilty pleasure is getting an actual Sunday paper delivered and sitting on my deck with my coffee and reading it.

 

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

A: The best piece of advice I ever received was to not put things off or procrastinate, as you will never have more time than you have today.


Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up in the southwest side of Chicago, and moved to the southwest suburbs after getting married. Seems like I'm a one directional kind of guy.

 

Q: Are you married?

A: I am coming up on being married 22 years to my wife, Jennie.

 

Q: Do you have children?

A: I have two boys who are 20 and 17.

 

Q: What is one thing you have to have with you in meetings?

A: One thing I have to have with me in meetings is a notepad.

 

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: My favorite part of my job is the people I meet and am able to work with.

 

Q: What’s your favorite holiday to celebrate?

A: My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving; family, food and football!

 

Q: What have you learned about being a leader?

A: I have learned that listening is the most important skill a leader can have.

 

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for being a good person.
