Recent honoree of CFMA’s 40 Under 40 Awards, and CFO at Sloan Security Group in Boise, Idaho, Hank Vincent sat down with CFMA to talk and here are 10 interesting facts he shared with us:
Q: Do you have children?
A: I have two girls, Kennedy, 3, and Violet, 1.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie is “Legends of the Fall.”
Q: What’s your favorite holiday to celebrate?
A: My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving (turkey, football, family). I am a strong advocate that we should have a second Thanksgiving in the spring.
Q: What energizes you at work?
A: Every day at work it energizes me that we are dedicated to improving the safety and security of individuals and organizations throughout the world.
Q: What career advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
A: I would tell my 18-year-old self to outline your career plans in pencil, not pen.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up on a farm in Pasco, Washington with my parents and three brothers.
Q: Are you married?
A: I’ve been married for seven years to my beautiful wife, Sara.
Q: Describe yourself in three words.
A: I would describe myself as competitive, focused and genuine.
Q: What is something you can never over-invest in?
A: You can never over-invest in the time you spend with your kids.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was working in a cherry orchard. In high school I opened several fruit stands and sold cherries during the summers. If you were in the tri-cities area from 2005 to 2007 there is a good chance you either bought cherries from me or know someone that did.
