CFMA’s Hot Topic: Employer/Employee Value Propositions

Respondent Profile

As part of CFMA’s 2015 Annual Financial Survey Online Questionnaire, respondents were asked a series of questions relative to the implementation of policies, overall effectiveness, and challenges associated with the employer/employee value proposition.¹ Responses were received between May and September 2015. The following results are based on a sample of 400 unique companies for which sufficient/valid data were provided for the Hot Topic section.

Meeting Cultural Needs

Approximately one-third of companies indicated that employee training and/or workplace requirements were in place relative to the awareness of communication differences among employees. At 23.8%, generational differences was the next most commonly selected option among respondents, while only 12.3% of companies focused on the issue of gender identity.

Of 97.7% of respondents that reported having Millennial employees as part of their workforce, technology being a bigger part of these employees’ lives was ranked as the most significant challenge. Social responsibility being a high priority ranked as the least significant challenge presented.
