J.D. serves as chair of the firm’s Tax Methods and Credit Services Practice. The practice is comprised of highly skilled specialists across the firm who provide strategic solutions to taxpayers. The team works collaboratively with customers to leverage certain tax credit and deduction opportunities. Specific areas of focus include cost segregation, research and development tax credits, fixed asset reviews, and tangible property regulation assistance.

J.D. has assisted clients both public and private across a variety of industries with annual revenues ranging from $10M to $115B. In addition to his work at Elliott Davis, he is frequently invited to lecture at industry forums throughout the country on a variety of fixed asset and research and development related topics. J.D. works closely with clients in the technology, manufacturing, bioscience, retail, hospitality, multi-family, automotive, medical and financial sectors.

Ryan O’Loughlin, CPA, Tax Senior Manager at Forvis 

Ryan has more than nine years of experience assisting clients in the distribution and construction industries. Ryan provides a variety of tax return, tax credit, and consulting related services for contractors. He has been involved with a multitude of unique contractor tax returns, construction and engineering research & development tax credit studies, and tax planning consultations. Ryan is involved with the AGC Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee and is on the local council for Upstate CFMA.

Jason Pritchard, Partner, Tax Services, GreerWalker

Jason joined GreerWalker LLP in 2017 and is a partner in the tax practice where he specializes in state and local taxation. Prior to joining the firm, Jason was most recently responsible for the oversight of state and local tax accounting and compliance at a global top five financial institution. In addition, Jason spent ten plus years at a Fortune 50 retail company where he was responsible for all aspects of federal, state and international taxation.

Jason has approximately 20 years’ experience evaluating and resolving US federal and state audit issues, the financial evaluation of proposed mergers and acquisitions and in the development and implementation of strategic business technology. He also has extensive regulatory reporting experience with many domestic and international standard setting bodies including the Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Reserve. Jason also works with clients to identify and implement federal, state and local tax and development incentives.

Jason focuses on providing practical, high value solutions for his clients. Jason’s extensive experience in multiple industries, as well as in public accounting, has provided him with invaluable experience in dealing with the complex tax issues faced by companies and their owners.
