Anson currently manages multiple projects and deliverables across focused industries to meet and exceed client expectations and deadlines. He has focused his career on clients in the commercial space with a specialization in construction, manufacturing and distribution, and service companies. His consulting and audit experience includes due diligence consulting for buy and sell-side business combinations and business combination GAAP accounting treatment,  a specialization in multi-entity consolidations, revenue recognition including a focus on the percentage of completion revenue recognition, inventory valuations and impairment analysis, deferred tax analysis, benefit plan audits with specialization for Employee Stock Ownership Plans, and internal control assessments. He has a high focus on providing a practical approach in developing business solutions throughout the client relationship. This includes managing the entire audit process from planning, direct supervision of our teams, ensuring quality performance of audit procedures, and managing timely delivery to the customer. His industry focus has allowed him to connect and cultivate relationships with clients that go beyond the role of a traditional auditor by extending innovative business solutions gathered through observations during audits and cost-saving ideas obtained through his vast exposure to each industry and cross-industry experiences.

Shawn is a manager with Plante Moran Insurance Agency. He works with clients at all phases of estate planning process to ensure that they are maximizing the value of their estates. He specializes in estate and tax planning, charitable planning, and family-owned business planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Shawn is a licensed attorney in the state of Michigan, and has practiced in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and family law for a Mid-Michigan-based law firm prior to joining Plante Moran. Shawn has served on several nonprofit boards throughout Mid-Michigan and currently volunteers on the board of ePIFanyNow.

He’s professionally affiliated with Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council and the State Bar of Michigan, Probate and Estate Section.
