Erin Roberts

PROFESSIONAL CAREER:

►      In 2006, after 12 years of serving clients in many different commercial industries, Erin was promoted to Partner. Now in his 16th year as a Partner, Erin has significant experience serving public companies in the construction, oilfield service and manufacturing industries.  Throughout his career, Erin has had a heavy focus on engineering firms, specialty contractors, EPC contractors, oilfield equipment construction, and construction materials, as well as initial public offerings.

►      After having served as the Americas Leader of the Engineering & Construction sector for 8 years, Erin became the Global Leader for the Engineering & Construction industry beginning in January 2019. 

►      In his Americas Leader role, Erin has served as the Firm’s representative on the Financial Issues Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America, is the Chairman of the organizing board for the AICPA Construction Conference, is a member of the Houston Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association.

►      While Erin is primarily an audit partner, he has also provided advisory services including internal control, contract claims and project management consulting, accounting advisory, and litigation support services to engineering and construction companies related to internal audits, process improvement initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, investigations and purchase price disputes.

►      Erin was a key member of the AICPA Revenue Recognition Task Force for Engineering & Construction that wrote the industry guidance on the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard.

►      Erin frequently speaks at industry events, including the AICPA Construction Conference, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Institute of Architects, the AGC/CFMA Conference and the Design Finance Officer Group.

►       Erin currently serves as the signing partner on AECOM, McDermott International, Ferrovial Holding US Corp and IHI E&C.  He serves as the independent review partner for Burns & McDonnell and Bowman Engineering.

►       Erin is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

►       Erin is the Assistant Treasurer and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

►       Erin earned a B.S. degree, with a double-major in Accounting and Finance, from Texas A&M University in 1994.
