Featured Speakers

Eric Curran
RiverWild

Eric was born and raised in Philadelphia before moving to Raleigh in 2008. He spent the first 15 years of his career in public accounting as an auditor. In September of 2018, he joined RiverWild as the CFO. In 2019, Eric also became the Chief People Officer. Being able to lead the financial and people divisions of RiverWild is something Eric enjoys immensely. God leading him to RiverWild, where faith and family is a foundational value, has been a tremendous blessing in his life.

He is a lifelong sports fan following Philadelphia professional teams and now the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State. He enjoys traveling, working out, trying new restaurants and reading books based on American History, Leadership, and Christianity. He and his wife are active in giving to and volunteering for various pet-related organizations, especially those focusing on adoption, fostering, and the welfare of rescue dogs.

Emily Ellis
CT Wilson Construction

Emily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Elon University in 2007. In college, Emily was a Jefferson Pilot Business Fellow and worked as an intern at a local CPA firm where she continued full time upon graduation. She was elevated quickly to Senior Accountant where her clients were primarily contractors in the Triangle. Emily joined CT Wilson in early 2015 as Controller. By 2019 she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Just a few years later, CT Wilson announced that Emily would be filling the Executive Vice President (EVP) position as second-in-command to third-generation owner, Charlie Wilson. She is now responsible for leading the executive management team, which is comprised of departmental heads from Preconstruction, Project Operations, Field Operations, and Administration. This role provides critical support for Charlie’s position as the company’s President and visionary by creating the structure and processes necessary to make the vision a reality. Since taking on her new role, Emily has already filled the executive leadership team and has made noticeable improvements to the company’s organizational structure. Additionally, she has been a member of the Carolina's AGC Young Leaders Action Team since 2019 and was named one of the Top Young Leaders of 2023. When she is not working, Emily is active in her church and provides support to the local fire department and Bahama Ruritan Club. Above all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and two kids, Wade and Emma.

Joining The Bobbitt Group as CFO in 2022, his priorities include building strong relationships, adding value by applying new technologies and tools to solve complex problems, and communication effectively at all levels.
