Lunch Is Served, Inc. is a nonprofit with the unique mission of delivering simple sack lunches for working men and women who are attempting to break the chains of poverty and hunger. The offering of free brown bag lunches represents more than simple nutrition. Each lunch bag is a tangible symbol of community encouragement and support created by volunteers and donations.

Children's Inn

The new Children's Inn facility will provide needed support, resources, and space to serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Adjacent to the Empower Campus, and located at the corner of 8th St and St. Paul Ave, the 42,000sf building's shape and materials are residential in character to blend with the surrounding neighborhood. Many mature trees will remain within an enhanced landscape to help convey a quality of calm dedication, as a backdrop to the work of empowering victims to overcome trauma and rebuild their lives, free from abuse. The project is scheduled to open Fall 2022.

Goals of the new facility
1. Provide a home-like secure environment
2. Flexibly accommodate future bed and restroom additions
3. Enhance overall environments for clients and staff
4. Achieve equal or decreased proportional operating costs
5. Respect the neighborhood
