Helena is the Director of People and Culture at Wallace Welch & Willingham. She has been with the firm for the past 4 years and is tasked with recruitment, talent development, compliance and client consulting. Helena earned her law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, and her Master’s Degree in Human Resources from the University of Rhode Island. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She practiced and litigated employment law cases prior to taking her skills and experience to the corporate environment. Helena is past co-chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section for the Sarasota County Bar Association, and currently resides in Sarasota.

Liz specializes in workers’ compensation and currently holds a 220 Property & Casualty license and a 215 Life & Health license. Liz also has several insurance industry designations including Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Certified Risk Manager (CRM). Liz works with clients and carriers to get the best possible outcome on claims. Her goal is to help clients mitigate the cost of claims to help businesses lower their total cost of risk. Liz grew up in Memphis and attended Germantown High School. She moved to the Florida Panhandle in 1997 and to St. Petersburg in 2019. She has a son who lives in Tampa.
